The Increasing Popularity Of 'whiteboard' Marketing Videos

By Carl Lee

If you're a marketer who's looking for effective ways to incorporate video into your overall market content strategy, you're not the only one.

The person conducting the presentation is usually a person with a good speaking voice and one who can be motivational and informative at the same time. As the presentation is given, the artist is able to complete figures of people using the product and experiencing success in using the product.

The drawing is made free hand by the artist, and then sped up to be fresh and in order to keep the attention of the viewer. This is important because in any presentation of any length there is a tendency for the viewer to have their attention wander, and if your presentation has any detail to it, you will want the viewer to get all the facts.

One Whiteboard, One Person - These types of videos feature a person that stands next to the whiteboard that provides an explanation along with illustrations. The reason for the effectiveness around these videos is the combination of a personal type of human presence and the visuals that go with the presentation.

Visual Storytelling - This method involves the use of a camera that follows the hand of the artist across the whiteboard. The artist uses his images to compliment and relate to the story, the video can then be increased in speed at the stage of post production in order to sync with the audio. These videos do require a level of skill along with more time for editing. However, when these videos are done in the correct way, they have the ability to be a compelling way to portray a message.

As you can see, creating your own white board marketing video is a very simple process. You can create an excellent video without spending anything if you already own a camera. The editing process is very simple and you should be able to edit your video with free editing software. Start working on some script and drawing ideas for your video and keep in mind that you should focus on the visual impact of what you demonstrate on the white board to efficiently share your message with your target audience.
