Which One Suits You Iphone 5S Battery Case Or Iphone 5S External Battery?

By Johny Jacson

The battery case is one of the more creative accessories designed for mobile phones. These are especially useful for smartphone owners as they typically consume more battery life due to their multiple roles. Because of this, having a spare source of energy to replenish your batteries can come in handy in particular situations.

Partly because people use their iPhones for a lot of purposes, battery life can be such an issue, especially during trips. Because of this, backup power sources have become very popular accessories. Should you pick up an iPhone 5S battery case such as the Vority X5S iPhone 5 and 5S Battery Rubberized Case or an iPhone 5S external battery?

To better understand this question, it's best to understand first the difference between these 2 items. Of course, the common similarity that an iPhone 5S battery case and an iPhone 5S external battery share is the fact that they provide extra power for your mobile phone when you need it.

What are the advantages an iPhone 5S battery case has compared to other charging options? The first one is complete portability. Because your portable power source is already built-in on your phone's case, you won't have to worry about carrying any kind of paraphernalia with you when traveling.

2. Convenience of charging- Any form of recharging is not possible without plugging your device to a charging device. However, wires can be intrusive and unsightly, especially when you are travelling with the crowd. This is where an iPhone 5S battery case comes into the picture. Because the charger is already installed into your iPhone, wiring is at an absolute minimum. Because of this, there's minimal obstruction to your phone use. What's more, it allows you to charge your phone discreetly. It's a win-win that way.

You will then plug the case into the phone's USB cord to commence charging. Because it is relatively light (most battery cases weight 2 ounces or less), they are remarkably portable. Best of all, most of these cases pack enough energy to fully charge an iPhone 5S within an hour or two.

4. Weight difference is negligible- When carrying an external charging device, you still have to worry where you should put them in your luggage.

The only time you plug it into your phone is when you need to charge it. While some people may find it bothersome to charge their phones from an external device (especially when traveling), one major advantage an external battery has is it can store more energy. As such, they can charge your battery more efficiently. In some cases, you can even make multiple charges with one full recharge of an external battery case.

So if you are to make a pick, which is the better choice, an iPhone 5S battery case or an iPhone 5S external battery? It basically goes down to a matter of preference.

3. Weight- One of the reasons why people get an iPhone 5S battery case is because they are easy to carry. It must be noted however that such cases are slightly heavier than your average case. Also, higher-capacity cases tend to weigh more than their counterparts. Still, the weight and bulk increase should be insignificant and by no means should it interfere with phone use.
