You Need Traffic To Your Internet Site? Stop All The B.S.

By Evelyn Myers

Increasing online traffic traffic is straightforward

They are going to come if you develop it

Blah, blah, blah

If we were to produce even more traffic to our site, we'd reinforce our sales, I'm convinced it's safe to confirm that we all bought into that crap. On the surface, it appears reasonable. Assessing that idea a little bit better under a minute lens, it does not hold up.

I can not begin to tell you precisely how often I have actually talked to company owners who had really managed to drive huge quantities of visitors to their web sites. The issue was the traffic was not changing into sales. The elephant in the room at this juncture is, why isn't the traffic converting.

The best place to start is by evaluating the quality of traffic that is currently visiting your internet site. My mother instructed me to never ever presume. Well mom, please pardon me, I am going to take the leap into the dark and do so at any rate. I'm going to make the assumption that you have Google Analytics on your internet site which you can track where your traffic is originating.

If for some peculiar reason you aren't currently tracking the traffic coming to your internet site, shame on you. The more you understand about your traffic and what your website visitors are doing the better off you will be.

If you are presently tracking your traffic, begin by seeing where your traffic is coming from. If you find that the bulk of traffic is coming from a Pay per click project you're running for instance, you have 2 alternatives:

1. Take a look at your PAY-PER-CLICK projects quality scores. If you happen to have a low score, modify your landing page.
2. You can also double check your keywords and modify them as well.

At the end of the day it comes down to tracking your traffic, and making sure it is targeted. Split test different landing pages, headlines, products, for example. It all boils down to testing, testing and more testing.

So get out there and start testing now.
