Network Marketing - Is MLM Dead?

By Rey McLauren

If you are involved in network marketing, then you need to have a good website. In this context, this means having a website that can attract and convert visitors in to customers and clients.

Set goals for yourself. Knowing how many people you wish to sponsor by a certain date will help you determine the number of people who need to be exposed to your product daily. Having this exact number lets you know how much you need to do in a given day to work towards your goal.

Don't leave it up to your website to make you money! You can't just take the "if I build it, they will come" attitude or you will FAIL in multi level marketing. You have to beat the pavement locally, to build your downline, be it by sharing marketing materials or actually talking to people you meet.

Network marketing will not run itself. You must be able to invest your time into generating income. A lot of individuals start network marketing while they are working at another job. This is a great way to protect yourself during the beginning days while you build your business. However, you have to make sure that you are able to devote the time needed to grow your business. It will not happen without your time and hard work.

Make the most of your drop cards by learning the most effective ways to use them. After you fill up your tank with gas, place one in the credit card slot of the pump. Put your junk mail to use by removing the envelopes that don't require postage and using them to mail cards to prospects. Place a card or two in the free magazine racks at grocery and convenience stores. Visit local bookstores and place a card in the location of home-based business books, self-help books and any other relevant areas. Leave them at any restaurants or hotels that you visit. You never know whose hands are going to sizzle when they pick up your card and see opportunity written all over it.

You should always provide your reader with value. You need to post articles that are relevant to the reader. Everything that you give your audience will come back to you. It takes time for readers to get into the habit of coming back, but as they see what you have to offer, they will be back.

You want to be available to the people who come to your website. They need to know you are a real person so be sure to have conversations with your readers. Don't take them for granted. By teaching others, as you get your downline, they will carry on the same way.

It is important to value your hourly rate in multi level marketing. When calculating what strategies work, include the time it takes you to implement the strategy. Include driving time, phone calls made, emails sent, and hours to create the content. Then calculate how much you're ACTUALLY spending on that marketing and see if the leads it brings are worth the amount spent.

Check your numbers against your goals to see how you're doing. Face reality. If your numbers aren't where you'd like them to be, you need to make a change. Hiding from poor numbers will simply lead to a failure of your business. Find new contacts for your multi level, change your marketing techniques, do something to fix the problem.

Be sure to not make a bare bones website. Customers have gotten a lot more web savvy over the past few years. A website that looks like it was just slapped together will be ignored. Take time in creating as much useful content for your site visitors as possible. Think of all the questions you would have coming upon your site as a visitor and make sure your site contains the answers to them all. The better a job you do on your site, the more likely you are to convert a visitor into a full fledged lead.

Although it's starting to push past the stigma and stand out as an effective way to profit, multi level marketing is still a dangerous game to play if you're not informed on how the business works. Make sure that you're willing to do more than just read these tips. You need to execute them to ensure your success.
