To say that TikTok has become popular as of late would be something of an understatement. Just recently it's been reported that businesses may want to use it for marketing purposes. While it may have an impact on one's Long Island advertising success, it's easy to look at TikTok and be confused. What makes it stand out compared to other digital platforms? Here are some questions to ask that will provide you with the answers you're looking for.

"What is TikTok, anyway?" TikTok is a mobile app that was released in 2016. Essentially, it's used to record short videos, which isn't unlike Snapchat or the now-defunct Vine. TikTok focuses largely on content where users lip sync, whether it's to music or comedy skits. Even if you're not into the prospect of recording yourself lip-syncing to a song you like, you may still want to keep an eye on it. TikTok's growth seems continuous, so to simply ignore it would be nothing short of an oversight. By focusing on said platform in the long term, you may be able to capitalize on opportunities you wouldn't have otherwise.
