The Weekend NFL Predictions Against The Spread

By Rebecca Ellis

The NFL divisional second round 2016 playoff schedule is just about to kick off. Before it commences, it could be of great fun and importance to look at the spreads with regards to this oncoming weeks round of Divisional games for the weekend. Here, I will outline an elaborate report on my NFL predictions against the spread, for the next oncoming round.

The first game is whereby Kansas City Chiefs meet New England Patriots.it is worth noting that the Chiefs are boasting of having an incredible ten game winning trend, heading into Foxboro. On the other hand, the Patriots have a worrying number of questionable players, who have disturbing data on their injury report. Among them, is Rob Gronkowski. The Patriots also, may lack the services of Jeremy Maclin, an offensive player, who has elicited mixed speculation for not practicing for all week. Though this will be a tough tussle, am tempted to preempt that the Chiefs can at least contain the game within a fields goal.

Green Bay Packers versus Arizona Cardinals is also another matched slotted for the weekend. In my unsolicited opinion, though the Packers tried their level best to outshine the overrated Washington by a ruthless seventeen last week, they are not as good.

Bearing in mind that the Cardinals have been on a purported holiday for a week, it is unequivocally true that they have spared all their energy and vigor, and are hoping to put it into action during this match. Their recent thunderous win against the Packers with a merciless 38-8, also reaffirms their untouchable form, in the recent past. Therefore, in light of the recent Cardinals appearances and their performance, I am of the view that they will be all smiles after the encounter, having comfortably outsmarting the Packers.

Another hot encounter is whereby the Seattle Seahawks will be off visiting the Carolina Panthers. Many analysts have maintained that the Seattle have had lots of trouble trying to remain in the contest, and have struggled their way to the playoffs. This makes many assume that the Panthers will definitely humble their contestants, but I beg to differ. I hold that the reverse will actually happen.

Worth noting, the Seahawks lost only narrowly, precisely by four points only, when the two met lastly. That was way before the Seahawks became smoking hot and finished at a sterling number one overall, in DVOA. It is my presumption that the Panthers are definitely going to be the team that has an average and regular performance in the season, but wash it away in the first playoffs.

There is also the Pittsburgh Steelers against Denver Broncos. The Steelers are not in very good form as they edge to counter Denver Broncos, and have had troubles reaching the playoffs. To add more insult to injury, the team will be without their best receiver, Antonio Brown, and also their leading rusher, DeAngelo Williams. Even worse, Ben Roethlisberger will not be in perfect shape, following the injury he suffered in Wild Card round.

Though Pittsburgh Steelers managed to thrush the Broncos at Pittsburgh a month ago, that will be put to greater test in this game, and will be a strenuous challenge this time round. The Denver Broncos defense, in my view, will be very hard to crack. On this, my bet is on Broncos.
